Last updated date: 10/29/2024

Open Enrollment for your 2025 benefits is November 8 – 25. This is your annual opportunity to review your needs and select the benefits that provide the best coverage and value for you and your family.

Take Action

Review this page to find out what you need to know and what you need to do during Open Enrollment. Then enroll in your 2025 benefits between November 8 and November 25. After Open Enrollment ends, you can’t change your benefit elections unless you experience a qualifying life event.

Your enrollment checklist

Use this checklist to make the most of your Open Enrollment opportunity:

  • Learn about your benefit options, paying special attention to what’s changing for next year.
  • Use the tools and resources available to help you make informed benefit decisions.
  • Watch the Open Enrollment FAQ video to learn about Open Enrollment basics. Then watch the Open Enrollment Savings Guide video to learn how to maximize your savings during Open Enrollment.
  • Update your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) enrollment and/or Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution amount — they don’t automatically carry over to the next year.
  • Review the 2025 contribution rates by going to the Human Resources page under the Department Pages tab in PAWS.
  • Review Open Enrollment FAQ.
  • Confirm your providers are in-network or find a new provider.
  • Make sure your dependent information is correct and all your dependents are still eligible.
  • Review your beneficiary information and make updates as needed.
  • Complete your benefits enrollment by November 25. Learn how to enroll.
  • Associates who participated in the CHOC Fit program in 2024 will receive a wellness credit beginning with the first paycheck in January 2025 in accordance with the amount of points earned. The credit will be paid out in 26 installments throughout the year.

What’s Changing

As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive, competitive, and financially responsible benefits, we regularly review our benefits program and consider changes that could better support you and your family across the entire spectrum of well-being. Here are the changes we’ll introduce in 2025.

Minimal cost increases

The premiums for all medical plans will have a slight increase in 2025. CHOC will absorb a majority of the increase while associates will experience a minimal cost increase. Your premiums for dental, vision and all other coverages will remain the same.

Higher Savings Account (HSA) limits

The maximum contribution amount for a Health Savings Account will increase to $4,300 per individual or $8,550 per family in 2025. Remember: You must actively enroll in the HSA each year to participate.

Higher Flexible Spending Account (FSA) limits

The maximum contribution amount for a Health Care or Limited Purpose FSA will increase to $3,200 in 2025. Any Health Care or Limited Purpose FSA balances of $610 will carry over to your 2025 FSA, but only if you re-enroll for 2025. The contribution limit for the Dependent Care FSA will not increase, and there is no balance carryover.

How to Enroll

You may enroll in or change your health and income protection benefits in Workday any time of day or night. Look for an enrollment task in your Workday inbox to get started. All changes made to your benefit elections will start on January 1. Review the Open Enrollment job aid on the documents page. Reach out to benefits@choc.org to get answers to your enrollment questions.

Do I need to enroll?

If you do not actively log into Workday to re-elect your benefits, your current benefit elections will continue next year, with the exception of the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions. You must take action if you want to contribute to an FSA or HSA in 2025.

Log in and make your elections

You will enroll in Workday. Look for a task in your Workday inbox on November 8 to begin the process. Once you complete your enrollment, please make sure you click the orange "Review and Sign" tab, then scroll down and check "I Accept" and the "Submit" tab to finalize your elections. It is recommended that you print and save a copy of your benefit elections for your records. Review the Open Enrollment job aid on the documents page.

Don’t miss out

After Open Enrollment ends, you cannot change your benefit elections unless you experience a qualifying life event.

Decision Support

TIP: Think about the whole cost.

When choosing a medical plan, it’s important to think about the whole cost of coverage — the amount you’ll spend out of your paycheck, as well as out of your pocket (copays, deductibles, and coinsurance).

Benefit Options

During Open Enrollment, you can enroll in the following benefits for 2025.
